Hi, I’m Carolyn. I have no desire to go blue water sailing at all. I don’t like to be salty, or wet, or have calluses on my hands, or sleeping in cramped quarters, you get the idea. No need to beat the dead horse. My husband on the other hand wants to with a passion. He tries to convince me at least daily to sell everything we own and take to the high seas. So far has hasn’t been successful. I’m letting him think the option is still open, and it just might be when the kids are out of the house.

Despite my hesitations to cruise, we do have a boat. It is a ranger 33. It is a nice boat that can be for racing or short trips. I’ve been known to curse the boat, to ignore it, to be jealous of it, but now that we are taking a trip on it soon, I’m talking very nicely about it. Her name is Waggish. We’ve had her for 5 years and have replaced almost everything (knock on wood) that we possibly could. She has been very good to us on weekend trips to The Loew’s, birthdays (AH HA! you have to click on that! It took me hours to pull that out of the archives, and it totally counts for the required embarrassing photos per post) and rafting up with friends and she has had several fun buoying racing seasons including the Beer Cans.
In the next few days I'll post about the things we are doing to get ready for 10 days on Catalina island, how we met Debbie and Rich, and probably one other post, let's call it the mystery post for now.
